Rapid Pace: Full Product Design Delivered and Approved in 5 Days
ServiceTitan, the all-in-one software built for home and commercial contractors was in need of a place to showcase all of their partners in one place.
At the time they had come to us, Servicetitan had hundreds of partnerships with other companies that they would use to recommend to their users looking to unlock the potential of their businesses. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t a great way for Servicetitan to show all of these great partnerships.
Also, their timeline was tight! This system needed to get up and running within the next month, and they didn’t have a design language to follow for such a website-driven product.
Full Design System, Full Design Mockups including Development Schematics
To get started, we had to look at Servicetitan’s competitors, and what their partnership marketplaces looked like.
Unfortunately, they didn’t really have any in production!
This meant looking through unique job boards, catalog listings, anything that got really close.
Ultimately, we had to compare everything we thought would be helpful for the Servicetitan users, and relate that back to the actual data we had available within the Servicetitan system. Unfortunately, there were a lot of holes.
Within the design process, we had to define a lot of “dream-state” components, and a few “bare-state” versions in order for the best design to come through, knowing that the Servicetitan team may have to backfil new datasets post-launch.
The biggest key decision was to make sure that all types of business could easily filter through the catalog as needed. From garage door repair men to bicycle shop owners, the Servicetitan product is used by an incredible wide array of users, all with unique needs
This meant creating robust filtering that was available and easy to use.
This is one of the few projects I’ve done that hit right on the mark, on the first review.
Nothing is better than hearing “you took our needs and feedback of the current model, and integrated them perfectly in a new and attractive design”.
I’ll take it!
After launch, we did end up creating a few different iterations of the homepage to better market their in-house products that were being launched, but the product that is live today is still very much the same as what was originally launched.
